Very comfortable and warm jacket

"Very comfortable and warm jacket from Free Country. This jacket is now my favorite. It's a go-anywhere, do anything jacket. It's nice enough to wear out on the town, rugged enough to take camping, and very comfortable. I really like the fact that it repels water and blocks the wind. The hood really covers the head and face well, which is important for those of us with too little hair on top 👩🏼‍🦲. It can be drawn tight quickly with an elastic pull-string. All exterior pockets zip up to keep your valuables safe. The top pocket is big enough for the largest phone to be safely stowed away from the weather, but can be quickly retrieved when needed thanks to the pulls they put on each pocket. Very well thought out, light, and true to size (I wear a 45 men's jacket and this fits comfortably loose. ) The hood is quickly detached with just a short unzip, and just as quickly re-attached. Inside there is another huge 8" wide by 9" deep pocket. Big enough for a wallet and a checkbook. Well made, love the fact that they use recycled polyester. You can be comfortable knowing you're buying a well-thought out jacket that you'll wear all winter long."

"Great jacket. I'm really impressed by this thing. I really like the removable hood. The color looks great. The inside fabric is soft and warm, and the outside does a good job at being water resistant. It seems like a well made piece that should last a long time. Perfect level of warmth for spring and fall. I have one slight gripe and that's just that it had a mild odor at first. This seems to be common with newer synthetic clothes so it's not that big of deal I just thought I'd mention it. After it airs out or you wash it the odor is gone. Overall though this is a great jacket."

My daughter is an athletic trainer for our high school so we go to all the football games and this past game was a wet one, so I took my new jacket out and I’m glad I did it worked great! This is a really well

"This is a really well made jacket. The outside is make of waterproof material, and the inside is some sort of felt or suede material, making it a very functional and comfortable jacket. My favorite part about the jacket is the way the hood sits which makes this a stylish choice. There is also a zipper added to the hood giving it you customization feature. All in all, a cool style and a very functional jacket that I'm happy with!"

The first feature of this

"The first feature of this coat that I really liked was the ability to remove the hood. I appreciate having a hood when needed, but hate their presence when they are not needed. So this product immediately caught my attention for that feature alone. The second feature of this coat that I really liked was how thin it is while still being warm! This coat kept me just as warm as my much thicker fleece, but with less bulk and more flexibility. Zippers, pockets, and other doo-dads were about as expected for this style of coat. The inside is soft and comfortable without being thick or bulky. The coat did well to protect me from wind and didn't get in the way while doing outdoor chores. I've only had the coat for a short time, but the material seems of good quality and I don't get the impression that the coat will wear out quickly. I look forward to using this coat a lot, and due to it's light weight and easy packability it will be a go-to for outdoor activities and chores."

Not a crinkly rain jacket

"I don't like crinkly rain jackets and I have been looking for a softshell. I am 5'11" and 185lbs so the Free Country medium size is a snug fit but still comfortable and not too tight. I also prefer zippered pockets, especially a chest zippered pocket. I'm not sure whether I will use the arm pocket but I like the option being available."

Fantastic Jacket - Slightly Short

"Really good quality jacket. I don't think you can find anything better under $80 to $100. No one beats Free Country on price and quality. The only gripe that I have is that these always feel about 2 inches too short. I'm 6'3", 225 lbs. , bought a size large. The larger sizes only get significantly wider but not much longer."

"This jacket is exactly what I was looking for-not too bulky, midweight, very warm for its weight scale and a perfect fit. Born in the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, raised in New York. We took our first steps over 36 years ago, when we walked into the unknown - a fashion world where outdoor apparel hadn't arrived yet. We were the pioneers of a new way of thinking about outdoor fashion, and a new way of designing it.
