Limited Warranty

What is and what is not covered with our limited warranty

Free Country wants you to be satisfied with your purchase of our outerwear products and will do its best to assist you in the unlikely event of a manufacturer’s defect.  Our limited warranty is valid to the original product owner for one year from the date of purchase and covers defects in materials, workmanship, zippers, zipper pulls, stitching, snaps and dye bleeding that may occur under normal wear.  Free Country will not assist with, does not warranty and is not responsible for outerwear damages caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, and the natural breakdown of materials over time or conditions that may be reasonably expected with normal wear or failure to follow care instructions.

How to get help with your Free Country product

If you purchased from one of our retail partners you should go back to where you purchased the item from, for either an exchange or refund. In most cases, they will be able to help you quickly and most efficiently.

If you were not able to obtain any satisfaction from the retailer or if you purchased through our website www.freecountry.com please contact our Warranty Customer Service at: customerservice@freecountry.com

Please make sure you have the following information available:

  • The UPC number which is a 12 digit number beginning with 194777_ _ _ _ _ _ located on a white label on the inseam, or if the jacket is reversible, on the inside of the one of the pockets.

  • A copy of the purchase receipt.

  • A description of the warranty issue/problem.

In the event, we determine your item is covered under the above limited warranty, we will  then advise you how to proceed.  No garment will be accepted without a return authorization number.  All garments must be laundered as per the care instructions label prior to returning.  Garments not laundered will be returned to the sender.  When shipping a garment to our customer service department, we strongly recommend using a service such as UPS or FedEx that provides tracking information  and write the return authorization number on the outside of the carton.  Free Country is not responsible for lost or stolen packages and does not pay for shipping costs.

What we will do

Upon receipt Free Country will inspect the garment and, if at its sole discretion, it determines that the problem is a result of a general manufacturing defect, we will when possible ship to you at our cost a replacement part for the defective part, along with returning your original garment. We do not repair garments nor pay for garment repairs. If the defective garment is not repairable, we will replace it with a new one. If an identical garment is not available, Free Country will replace it with a comparable style and color at our discretion. This may take approximately 3-4 weeks. During our busiest season (October through March), it may take a little longer and we appreciate your patience.
