At Free Country, we believe the outdoors belongs to everyone. Whether it’s a city park, a quiet trail, or a mountain summit, adventure should be accessible. That’s why we’re on a mission to deliver high-quality, weather-ready apparel at an incredible value—so more people can enjoy the freedom to belong outside.

We’re currently looking for a smart, strategic, and experienced Marketing leader to join our team and help shape the future of Free Country.

Responsibilities:

Shape the Marketing Strategy:
Partner with ownership to craft a holistic, insight-driven marketing strategy that fuels brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and engagement—aligned with Free Country’s mission to make the outdoors accessible for all.

Act as a Strategic Growth Partner:
Serve as a key advisor and collaborator to leaders across all growth channels—including paid media, organic, influencer, affiliate, and CRM—bringing a strategic lens to optimize performance and unlock new opportunities.

Lead Annual and Quarterly Planning:
Drive the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing plans with clear goals, KPIs, and budget allocations across all channels—ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

Optimize the Customer Journey:
Refine and elevate the full-funnel customer experience—from discovery to purchase and beyond—identifying opportunities to increase conversion, engagement, and lifetime value.

Champion Innovation and AI-Powered Marketing:
Explore and evaluate emerging tools and AI technologies to personalize consumer experiences, enhance campaign performance, and improve marketing efficiency at scale.

Enable Cross-Functional Excellence:
Collaborate with Merchandising & Sales to ensure integrated planning and execution—acting as the strategic connector across departments.

Track, Measure & Report Impact:

  • Establish best-in-class measurement frameworks to monitor and analyze performance, translating insights into actionable strategies for marketing teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing strategy, brand building, or growth marketing roles.
  • Strong proficiency in key business and marketing tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, CRM platforms).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels.
  • Must be onsite daily at our New York Office (NYO).
