Comfy Coat with a Few Alterations
"My pup doesn't like to wear ANYTHING. But when I put this coat on her she actually liked it! It is reversible but she likes it when the soft side is cuddled up to her body. We got her a size L. She is about 21 pounds, back length is about 19, chest is about 20. The Medium did not go all the way down her back. The large goes right to her tail. It fits better around her body, too. Unfortunately, her little 12" neck - the collar Velcro makes the neck of the coat too big. I had to add Velcro to make the neck fit more closely. I also added 1/4" elastic to make leg loops. That keeps the back of the coat on her instead of flopping in the wind. Lastly, I think I will add some type of button (like a loop and button - something as easy as Velcro to fasten) to the part that goes around the chest. It is hard to line the Velcro strips up for a nice fit. Also, all that nice warm fuzzy inside will eventually get into the Velcro and make it not fasten well anyway. Overall, we like the coat and the color and the style. We got the "off-pink" color. We are using it as a fall jacket. We have a "snowsuit" for her for below 32*."
