"Huge thanks to Free Country for providing me a free jacket to review. I own a few Free Country jackets for a reason - they're warm, high quality, and priced well. The soft-shell jacket is perfect for both skiing or wearing casually. The outside is super soft to the touch and isn't stiff like some larger jackets. It's not too thick but still provides adequate warmth while being easy to move around in. I normally wear a medium jacket but I got a large which was the right choice for me. In my opinion it runs a bit large, so there is generous room inside for layering on colder days. Overall, super happy with this jacket."

"I have a couple of jackets from Free Country and this is my new favorite. It's soft, comfortable, and keeps me warm even in below freezing temps. Some ski jackets are stiff and bulky, but this one is versatile and I feel comfortable wearing it out and about. The outside is incredibly soft to the touch and overall the jacket is just a joy to wear. It's also exceptional value at the price point."

"This is a really warm jacket that kept me warm when I went to the patriots game the other day. It was freezing out, but I bundled up and this jacket kept me warm throughout the game despite the freezing temperatures. The coat looks very nice and is very comfortable. Incredibly warm, lightweight and easy to wear

"Free Country kindly gave me this Men’s Maclear Thermo Softshell Jacket for free so that I could review it and I couldn't be happier. I haven't worn any other jacket since I got it. Initially I was concerned that it is better intended for fall or spring and not winter because it is so lightweight and not bulky. But that's definitely not the case. It's unbelievably warm despite never feeling too bulky. I have worn it shoveling my driveway in blowing winter snow and came inside both dry and warm. It also fits like a glove (I got a large and I am 5'9 with a stocky build). I would absolutely replace it if I ever lost it, but I don't foresee taking it off too often when I need a jacket. Strongly recommend."
