Life can be chaotic – we understand. Between family, friends, work, social outings, alone time, fitness and exercise goals, travel, holidays and unforeseen mishaps, we can feel as though we are constantly on the run, void of any time to devote to those things we are passionate about.
Sometimes, we need a reminder to take a step back, be grateful, and give back to the life around us. National Make a Difference Day can be this reminder.
Here at Free Country, we work hard to make a difference in the lives of our customers. Whether it’s through flattering swimwear that boosts the confidence of all women, protective outerwear to elevate adventures and stimulate exploration, or loungewear that reminds you it’s okay to take a day off, our mission is to give you the choice, every day.
Through purchasing our products, spreading the message, inviting other friends and getting out there in your own way, you are all supporting and empowering our goal.
But, it’s time to broaden the scope. While we focus our days on our mission an empowered approach to adventure and excitement, we also know that the passions and pursuits of each individual person is different.
Our challenge to you is to make the difference that matters to you.
The more hands and hearts that come together, the further our message will spread, and the greater impact each community can have.
To spark your own brainstorming, consider these simple ways to give back and make a difference in your community:
- Plant a tree (or several)
- Commit to compost and recycle – properly!
- Volunteer at a local shelter or organization
- Coach a children’s sporting team and encourage activity
- Sponsor a cause that matters to you
- Donate to a charity you care about
- Limit your own carbon footprint by being conscious of the environment
Find an area of your life, your city, someone else’s struggle or the world around you that needs some extra attention and care this week, and commit to making a difference. Small or large, every effort counts, and your decision to try is the spark that can inspire further change, continuous courage and a level of care to withstand the ups and downs of life. #GetOutThere
