Sales Executive

Ladies/Men’s/Kid's Outdoor Lifestyle Sportswear/Outerwear Company. A vertical apparel manufacturer/innovator, has a full-time USA employment opportunity.
This position is located in Manhattan, NY.

 

Job Description:
  • Develop a business plan comprised of expanding account base and meeting projected sales goals in line with the market potential of its outdoor lifestyle sportswear/outerwear brand.

  • Partner with Design/Merchandising teams to drive product newness curated towards the different tiers of accounts currently under distribution.

  • Leverage the company’s pricing advantage as a factory-direct operator to value-add quality product that supersedes what is currently offered by direct competitors.

  • Analyze weekly sales performance information from accounts to accumulate month-end figures identifying both reorder opportunities and potential markdown challenges.

  • Execute and oversee, along with Back Office team, customer set-up details, extension requests, order changes, style substitutions, and order confirmations.

  • Pioneer new opportunities with Major retail accounts via Dropship.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with key customers to cultivate and expand distribution while penetrating new markets to build sales volume.

  • Meet/exceed projected sales goals in conjunction with the agreed upon financial plans.

  • Responsible for customer relationship management and in-season analysis regarding product performance (best sellers, future SMU opportunities, and comp analysis).

  • Minimize year-end inventory position/holding cost.

  • Travel required.

     

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5-8 years of apparel industry sales management experience working with value chain and off-price retail customers.

    • Self-starter with strong leadership skills, must have established relationships and primary points of contact at management level, along with working relations with buying teams.

    • Ability to lead and communicate clearly with off-shore team and provide viable solutions in resolving delivery challenges with customers.

    • Highly organized, must approach business from an entrepreneurial perspective while justifying all business decisions from an analytical perspective.

    • Strong computer skills are a must. Proficiency is expected in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
