Have you ever explored a beautiful green forest and felt the lush, nutrient-rich soil squish beneath your feet? Did you notice the crisp, light freshness of the air you took in? Have you ever hiked to the top of a mountain, sweat beading atop your forehead when you lose your breath at the sight surrounding you? Just horizon – expansive skies, rocky peaks, and trees that have survived the ages. These moments remind us that we are citizens of powerful planet. Every site on this Earth is original and rare. No two sunsets are the same. We are surrounded by awe-inspiring beauty in every direction, and we want our future generations to experience it, too.
Here at Free Country, we appreciate all that Mother Nature has given us and has inspired us to affect change. Our most recent efforts have been at home base – our NYC HQ in Bryant Park. We’ve installed more recycling bins throughout the office, enacted conservation practices when it comes printing and water usage, and eliminated plastic use from our kitchen. Newer, energy efficient bulbs replaced older ones in the most populated areas and new water filtered water fountains were added to the kitchen. Now all employees can fill their Free Country water bottles and reduce our plastic footprint.
Little changes like these make a big impact in the long run, setting a standard for our Free Country family to pass along to their families, friends, and generations to come. It’s a chain reaction, and we all have to do our part to take care of our home planet so we can keep getting out there! So join us and the other trailblazers who are trying to make a difference daily. This Earth Day, let’s do our part so we can all #GetOutThere together.
